- I have known a vocal teacher who was conducting our school' choral, that had a motto: '"if one can speak ― one can sing." I made it into my motto, as well. With teaching and life experiences, I came to believe that everyone can create art. The difference is the purpose.
- I gave my students skills and information that serve as a foundation for scaffolding. I encourage my students to dare express their worldview in images, to believe in their uniqueness, and the ability to do so. After all, at the bottom of successful pedagogy is an encouragement.
- A teacher can create an extraordinary moment for adolescents and any other age-group, as well, that would conclude with exclamations: "A-ha! I get it! I can do it! I never thought I could!"
- ' Such moments develop a sense of self-worthiness, self-respect and, so-called, spiritual empowerment. Furthermore, they result in a student's newly-learned ability to experience and to achieve a set goal. This experience usually initiates the start of a new stage in their life. I am certain that almost every one of us has experienced that turning moment or mark-point. Unfortunately, bad experiences can play the same role and mark the downgrade. In those cases, our goal as educators is to reinforce a change to gear it toward the positive.
- I believe that through communications, suggestions, and feedback, we can learn and grow together.
